September is College Application Month

Check out the colleges that are offering free application periods.

Welcome, Senior Class!

You've finally made it to senior year. Don't worry as we are here for you! We hope the following information will be helpful. Please reach out to your counselor if you have any questions.

Things to do:

1. Complete college or university applications and essays well before the published deadline.

2. Make or update a resume and recommendation form to use when you ask for college recommendations.

3. Complete your 40 community service hours, and turn in the sheets.

4. Pay your $10 senior fee at the Registrar's Office.

5. Complete Civics Exam located on your "Canvas Class of" page.

Milligan University

Information for students considering Milligan University

FALL 2024 APPLICATION IS NOW OPEN • Milligan's Fall 2024 application is open, and students can apply for free at milligan.edu/apply using the fee waiver code BUFFALO24. • Students are encouraged to look on the Milligan website and learn more about their Honors Program to apply to Milligan ASAP so that you can begin the application process for the full-tuition Jeanes Honors Scholarship. • The Goah Diveristy Scholars Program to Milligan is available and offers full-tuition! CAMPUS VISIT OPTIONS • Personalized Campus Visits: Students are encouraged to schedule a personalized campus visit with us this fall. They will have the opportunity to attend class, meet with a professor, eat in the dining hall, and meet with a coach. Learn more at www.milligan.edu • Preview Days: We'll be hosting several general Preview Days this year on September 29, November 11, and March 22. East Tennessee State University

Apply for Admission as a Freshman/First-Year Student

Complete the Application for Admission.
Submit a non-refundable $25 application fee. For the month of September the application is free using this code: TNFREEAPP24
Students with demonstrated financial need who meet certain eligibility criteria may contact their admissions counselor about an application fee scholarship (limited availability, apply early).
The Fall 2024 application is now open.

Forward your Advanced Placement, College Transcript or other Collegiate Results

If you have completed college-level courses as a dual-enrollment student while in high school you must request an official transcript be sent to the Admissions Office directly from the college or university through which you earned the credit. If you have completed Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate other collegiate exams, you must request official score results be sent to the Admissions Office directly from the testing agency. It is important to record this credit prior to your registering for courses to avoid duplication at ETSU.

Provide Test Scores

ACT/SAT scores are not required for admission to ETSU. However, please keep in mind:

An ACT/SAT score is required to be considered for scholarships. For guaranteed scholarships available for in-state and border county students, you must have taken your ACT or SAT by March 1st.
An ACT/SAT test score helps you get placed in the right classes. If you do not provide an ACT or SAT score, you will be given an opportunity to take the Accuplacer test prior to coming to ETSU orientation. This test will help determine what classes you should take.
Certain academic programs will require test scores for admission into the program.

ETSU will superscore ACT/SAT scores for admission and scholarship decisions. Test-takers should require their scores be sent to ETSU electronically by the test agency.
