Jim’s Team 4 Diabetes Foundation offers College Scholarships for students with Type 1 Diabetes to help with expenses that can be applied toward their diabetes equipment and supplies needed for school. To be eligible, the applicant must be a senior attending high school in the USA that will graduate in the year 2025.

The Undergraduate Research Honors Program is offered within a variety of degree majors at ETSU. Scholars take a minimum of 18 hours of honors coursework counting toward the student's major, work closely with faculty in their discipline, and complete an Honors Thesis. Thesis projects vary by discipline; they result from a research or creative project the scholar undertakes under the direction of faculty in the discipline.

Seniors currently living in a manufactured/modular home or that have a relative working in the manufactured home business are eligible to apply for scholarships — $2,500 for certification programs or $5,000 for degree programs — from the Tennessee Housing Association. The Tennessee PTA maintains a scholarship fund to provide assistance to graduating students seeking degrees in child-related fields, including education, medicine, law or other child-related studies. To qualify students must be a graduating senior from a state high school, enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university and they or a family member must be an active member of a PTA or PTSA. The 24-25 Ned McWherter Scholars program application application is completed through the TSAC student portal. Students applying for the program will be required to attain a 32 composite ACT score or 1430 SAT score and earn a minimum high school GPA, at the end of the semester prior to the semester of graduation, of at least 3.75.

The Horatio Alger Association's National Scholarship provides awards that range from $10,000--$25,000. To apply, you must be a high school junior with at least a 2.0 GPA, a US citizen, and have an adjusted gross household income of $65,000 or less. The deadline to apply is March 1.

Northeast State Scholarships are competitive awards administered by the Northeast State Foundation or other sponsoring agencies. Students may qualify for scholarships in several categories. The college's General Scholarship Application is a single application for multiple programs, including some that are specific to Science Hill and Washington County students.

Applications are open to undocumented immigrant students with or without DACA or TPS who came to the U.S. before the age of 16 and before Nov. 1, 2018. The National Scholarship Award will cover your tuition and fees at one of our Partner Colleges up to a maximum of $33,000 for a bachelor’s degree.

The Westbrook Scholarship is available to entering University of Chattanooga freshmen majoring in Chemistry or Physics who have completed a course in high school chemistry or physics with an A or B, attained a GPA of 3.5 or above, and earned a composite score of 26 or above on the ACT exam. While the Westbrook is a merit scholarship, financial need will also be considered during the selection process. A separate application to the university must be submitted directly to the Office of Admissions by February 1.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholars must be of Hispanic heritage, be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the U.S., and submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms (if applicable).

Davidson Fellow Scholarships are awarded to gifted students who have completed a significant piece of work in one of the submission categories: science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature, music, philosophy and other. Students must be able to demonstrate that the work is his or her own creation and be able to attend an in-person event with at least one parent or guardian or virtual awards ceremony.

The Changemaker Scholars Program helps students acquire the knowledge, skills, resources, and mindset to become creative problem-solvers, engaged citizens, and active agents for positive change in their communities. The 25-credit program provides opportunities for students with a variety of interests and majors to gain a deeper understanding of social problems, collaborate with campus and community partners to find creative solutions to these problems, and integrate a changemaker mindset into their academic, personal, and professional lives.

The Tennessee Concrete Association is sponsoring its annual high school essay contest. The essay must be typed, double-spaced and limited to 600 words. The short literary composition should demonstrate the student's awareness of concrete's role as a building material or follow the prompt, "How have you or your community been shaped by concrete?" Contest winners will have their essays published in the spring edition of Tennessee Concrete magazine.

The East Tennessee State University Honors College and the Quillen College of Medicine collaborate to offer a competitive, experiential-learning based medical school preparation program. This program offers cohort members a curriculum and enrichment experiences designed to enable a smooth transition from undergraduate studies to medical school.

The Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9-12 enrolled in a public, private or parochial high school or home study program in the United States, its territories and possessions; or dependents of U.S. military or civilian personnel in overseas schools. Students compete by writing and recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme. This year’s theme is, “What are the greatest attributes of our Democracy?”

The NC State Park Scholarship is a highly competitive program offering full scholarships to outstanding high school seniors for undergraduate study at North Carolina State University. Seniors with outstanding academics, leadership potential, and community service that are applying to the University of Virginia and would like to be considered as the SHHS nominee for the Jefferson Scholarship at UVA must submit their resume to their counselor by November 15. Jefferson Scholars are provided free tuition, room and board, a living stipend, and opportunities to study abroad.

LSP is UNC Charlotte’s premier merit scholarship, providing full tuition, room, board and a stipend for books over a four-year period, funding for summer experiences, and access to an $8,000 grant to create a community service project with a local nonprofit. The supplemental application, including three essays, an activities list and two letters of recommendation, is due November 15.

The American Culinary Federation Education Foundation, with the support of the American Academy of Chefs, is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships annually to students in apprenticeship programs, certificate programs or postsecondary degree programs. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher and be accepted to an accredited institution with a culinary, pastry or foodservice-related major.

JWU’s College of Food Innovation & Technology is hosting a national recipe scholarship program designed for high school seniors and transfer students enrolled in culinary, baking and pastry arts and other food-related programs or courses. The Eugene McDermott Scholars Program offers a full-ride merit scholarship to top students who are seeking academic engagement, leadership development, and opportunities to improve their communities through service. Ronald Reagan Oratory Competition

The Ronald Reagan Oratory Competition invites students in grades 5-12 to bring President Reagan's words to life through video presentations. Participants will be asked to read provided excerpts of an address given by Reagan and to focus on emulating the former president's distinctive speaking style.

Outstanding juniors (seniors may not apply) interested in Public Policy and Public Service may apply to become a Coolidge Scholar. Coolidge scholars receive a full tuition scholarship that includes all expenses to any four-year college or university. Part of the application process includes reading President Calvin Coolidge’s Autobiography.

Scholarships totaling $6,000 will be awarded to students taking part in the American Legion Department of Tennessee contest. The state winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship, plus an all-expenses paid trip to Hillsdale College in Michigan to compete in the national contest, May 16-18 and a part of the $167,500 national scholarship pool.

The Goah Diversity Scholars program awards a full tuition scholarships to undergraduate students who enhance the educational experience of all students by sharing their diverse cultural experiences. Students must be first-year undergraduate students at Milligan University, be a U.S. citizen or have permanent residence, live on campus and have a meal plan, complete the Milligan application process and be offered acceptance prior to scholarship award, complete the Scholars Program application and interview process and have a minimum 21 ACT (total score of 980 old SAT or 1060 new SAT) OR 68 CLT OR minimum 3.0 high school GPA overall weighted. Athletes are eligible for the Goah Diversity Scholarship if they have a 21 ACT AND a minimum 3.0 high school GPA overall weighted and the recommendation of their coach.

Milligan University applicants with a 3.5 GPA and a 29 ACT or 1340 SAT are eligible to join the Milligan Honors Program and apply for the full-tuition Jeanes Honors Scholarship. The program provides an advanced and enriching opportunity for high achieving undergraduate students from all major fields to work together to deepen their intellectual scholarship, engage in creative and professional work, and embrace their roles as servant-leaders. Eligible applicants must participate in an interview during Honors Weekend or on a campus visit during the fall semester.

The James H Parke Memorial Scholarship is a competitive scholarship funded by the Veterans Administration (VA). This scholarship targets student volunteer who have accumulated at least 100 hours of volunteer service through the VA. Each medical center may nominate one VA student volunteer for receipt of the award. This recommendation should be discussed with the Chief, Center for Development & Civic Engagement, before submission to the Medical Center Director. To be eligible, candidates must have completed 100 hours of regularly scheduled VAVS volunteer service during the calendar year prior to September 1, be a student in the 10th grade or above, and have not reached their 19th birthday.
